Cumulative Update 3 for Host Integration Server 2009 is available
The cumulative update for Microsoft Host Integration Server 2009 that is described in the "More Information" section contains hotfixes for issues that were fixed after the release of Host Integration Server 2009.
We recommend that you test the hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new fix release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included in the previous Host Integration Server 2009 fix release. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent fix release that contains this hotfix.
Important This cumulative update includes all the product component packages. However, Cumulative Update 3 updates only those features that are currently installed on the system.
This cumulative update (CU) is a rollup update that contains the following items:
All previously released hotfixes for Host Integration Server 2009 All the fixes that were included in Cumulative Update 1 (CU1) and Cumulative Update 2 (CU2) for Host Integration Server 2009 Some hotfixes for Host Integration Server 2009 and for Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 Some additional improvements Note This cumulative update does not contain fixes for Microsoft Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO). Therefore, this update does not apply to stand-alone SSO servers.

How to obtain Cumulative Update 3 for Host Integration Server 2009 A supported cumulative update is now available from Microsoft. However, the cumulative update is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply the cumulative update only to systems that are experiencing these specific problems. This cumulative update may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by any of these problems, we recommend that you wait for the next Host Integration Server 2009 service pack. The next service pack will contain the hotfixes that are in this cumulative update.
If the cumulative update is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the cumulative update.
