SYMPTOMS

Network performance may decrease significantly when you use a program that is configured to communicate by using the SO_CONDITIONAL_ACCEPT socket option.

CAUSE

When you use this option, incorrect data in the IP Options field of a TCP/IP packet may cause a network firewall to filter the packet out.
