The battery in your computer with a Pentium III-M Tualatin processor may lose its charge sooner than you expect. This symptom occurs on computers that have a Pentium III-M Tualatin processor that uses the legacy IST interface.
This problem may occur if the P3.sys driver is not initialized correctly. When this occurs, the B1 step of the SpeedStep-capable processor is not enabled, so your battery charge may drain faster than usual.
