The Group Policy Feature Does Not Remove the Manage Command

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Group Policy feature to enable Hides the Manage item on the Windows Explorer shortcut menu in the Administrative template for Windows Explorer , the Manage command may not be removed from the My Computer shortcut menu on Windows XP client computers. This symptom occurs if Remove Search button from Window Explorer is also enabled in the Administrative template for Windows Explorer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
