When you try to rotate a Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) image by using the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, Windows Explorer may stop responding.
This problem may occur if the JPEG image was encoded by using the Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) 2.2 format. EXIF 2.2 is a format that is used to make JPEG EXIF DCT images. This problem does not occur if JPEG images are encoded by using the EXIF 2.1 standard format.
