"Automatically Adjust Clock for Daylight Savings Changes" Check Box Is Not Selected After You Run the OOBE Wizard

After you run the Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) Wizard on a computer that has an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) version of Microsoft Windows XP installed, the Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes check box is not selected as expected.
This problem occurs if both of the following conditions are true:

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Method 1Do not change the default computer name when you install an OEM version of Windows XP.
Method 2Manually select the Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes check box. To do this, follow these steps:
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
The OEM can configure the Windows XP installation so that it does not display the Time Zone page when the OOBE Wizard runs. The Time Zone page permits you (the end user) to select the Time Zone setting for the computer. This page is displayed when you run the OOBE Wizard if the TimeZone=1 line is present in the [options] section of the Oobeinfo.ini file. If the OEM removes this line or sets the value to TimeZone=0, this prevents the Time Zone page from being displayed.
