INTRODUCTION

How to obtain the latest service pack for Office 2003

Removal information

After you install this update, you cannot remove it. To revert to an installation of the Office 2003 suite before the update was installed, you must remove the Office 2003 suite. Then, install the suite again by using the original installation method.

This update cannot be removed because an issue exists in Office 2003 that causes Office 2003 to be partially uninstalled when updates to certain components are installed or uninstalled. This update fixes this issue. However, if you remove this update, the issue occurs again and Office is partially uninstalled. To prevent this behavior, you cannot uninstall this update.
