High CPU utilization when the DFS Replication service is installed on a failover cluster node running Windows Server 2008 R2Article ID: 978324 - View products that this article applies to. SYMPTOMSAfter you install the Distributed File System (DFS) Replication role on a failover cluster node that is running Windows Server 2008 R2, the Clussvc.exe process uses 20 percent to 90 percent of the CPU. The cluster is configured to use hundreds or to use thousands of resources and groups. These resources and groups may not be related to DFS Replication. Additionally, you may encounter the following behavior:
CAUSEA code defect in the DFS Replication component generates unnecessary resource enumerations through the cluster API. Contact Microsoft Customer Support for a hotfix. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
