This issue does not affect the functionality of Windows Firewall. This issue affects only the display of the certificate store type information. WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, use one of the following methods. Method 1At a command prompt, use the following command to configure the new connection security rule:netsh.exe advfirewall Method 2On the Authentication Method page, do one of the following:
Method 3Create the new connection security rule by using any selection from the Certificate store type list in the wizard. Then, configure the rule by using the Authentication tab of the Properties dialog box of the created rule to change the certificate store type. By setting the authentication method to Advanced, you enable the Customize button to open the Customize Advanced Authentication Methods dialog box, where the first and second authentication methods can be specified.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. Note This problem is known to occur in the following versions of Windows 7:
