SYMPTOMS When you try to install or remove Microsoft Office XP SP-1,
you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Error 1612. The installation source for this product is
not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
CAUSE This issue may occur if you have one or more stand-alone versions of a Microsoft Office XP program, such as Microsoft FrontPage 2002, Microsoft Publisher 2002, or Microsoft Access 2002 installed on your computer and the source and/or cache file registration is damaged.
