SYMPTOMSWhen you play a media clip in Microsoft Windows Media Player 10, the caption bar appears without the caption text. This problem occurs if the media source uses Microsoft Synchronized Accessible Media Interchange (SAMI) closed-caption captioning. The problem also occurs in other Microsoft multimedia programs, such as Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia. CAUSEThis problem may occur when you play the media clip from a media source on your local computer. Note The media source can be a CD, a hard disk, or a media file that is saved on your local computer. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, first check to make sure that the media source contains captions. If captions are present, follow these steps:
