Greek Documents Are Identified as Russian Instead of Greek

SYMPTOMS

When Site Server Search indexes Greek documents that are not explicitly tagged as Greek, Search may incorrectly identify the documents as Russian.

CAUSE

The language detection algorithm is not deterministic. It is statistical in nature and fairly sensitive to the set of documents that are used.
