SYMPTOMS

When you quit the last or next to last instance of multiple instances of Internet Explorer, you may receive one of the following error messages:
IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 025f:bff87ede
-or-
IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000.78581f00
Note that the memory address that is listed in these error messages may vary.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Aureate Radiate program is installed on your computer. Note that this program is included with over 250 shareware programs.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Aureate Software to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, uninstall the Radiate program. Note that after you uninstall a program that includes the Radiate program, the Radiate program may still remain on your computer.

The Radiate program is activated when you start Internet Explorer or when you start the associated program that contains the Radiate program. The Radiate component pulls down banner ads for display in the respective software. The Radiate software monitors which banner ads you click and how much time you spend reading a given banner. If you are online, this information is sent immediately to Radiate. If you are offline, the information is stored and transmitted the next time that you go online.
