We strongly recommend that all users upgrade to Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.0 running on Microsoft Windows Server 2008. IIS 7.0 significantly increases Web infrastructure security. For more information about IIS security-related topics, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

SYMPTOMS

If there is no client activity on a Web site during the amount of time that you specified as the logging period in the Web site properties, IIS does not create a log file for that time period. For example, if you set logging to occur on a daily basis, and there are no client requests made to that server during a 24-hour period, no log file is created.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
