Article ID: 314521 - Last Review: October 9, 2003 - Revision: 2.0 INFO: Mobile Solutions for Disconnected and Connected Wireless Devices
This article was previously published under Q314521 SUMMARY
Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit (MMIT) works with wireless devices that are always connected to the Internet or to an intranet. If a wireless device does not maintain a constant connection, you may need to develop a native application for the device. You can use the Microsoft Embedded Visual Tools 3.0 (EVT) to develop native applications for Microsoft Windows CE-based devices. With the Microsoft Smart Device Extensions (SDE), you can also develop native applications by using Microsoft .NET Compact Framework to develop next generation .NET-based applications for Microsoft Windows CE-based devices.
