Excel 2000: Excel Quits When GetPivotData Function Is in Second WorkbookArticle ID: 324391 - View products that this article applies to. This article was previously published under Q324391 SYMPTOMS If you create a GetPivotData function in Microsoft Excel
2000, Excel may quit unexpectedly. This problem occurs if:
CAUSE To compare the date field values against the string that is
used in the GetPivotData function, Excel must format the date field according
to the correct format string that is applied to that field. The function that
fetches the format string structure has an argument that says which book it
should look in. This argument in this case is NULL, which Excel interprets as
being the current book. The current book, however, is the book that the formula
is on. This causes the problem. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the
