It has been seen that sometimes the name of the program still remains in the add or remove program list even after the uninstallation of the said program or application.

How To Remove Invalid Entries In Add or Remove Programs

Such problem happens if the uninstallation is not properly done or the corresponding uninstaller is not capable of removing the corresponding entries properly,i.e. defective.
 
Resolution:-
Start>Run>Regedit>Ok.
Now navigate to the following key:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall
Now find the orphaned or, invalid  software entry from the list and delete it.Close the registry editor.
