Garmin USB Data Card Programmer Does Not Work Correctly on a Virtual Machine

SYMPTOMS

When you try to transfer data (read or write) by using the Garmin USB Data Card Programmer with a Garmin Global Positioning System (GPS) unit on a Windows-based virtual machine, you receive the following error message:

USB Data CRC Error

This problem occurs even when you successfully installed the driver for the Garmin USB Data Card Programmer.
