Article ID: 893005 - View products that this article applies to.
In the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, when a Microsoft Windows Forms-based application contains forms that contain the ErrorProvider control or the ToolTip control, the application may unexpectedly quit or you may receive NullReference exceptions during run time. Typically, this problem occurs when the application is under heavy load.
This problem occurs when the form that contains the ErrorProvider control or the ToolTip control is incorrectly disposed during form closing. The exception occurs when the form is re-created and appears again.
