Software preinstalled on new PCs or in system builder (DSP) multipacks should be claimed by system builders or end customers under their insurance policies. For incidents outside of those circumstances, the following guidelines should be followed. Microsoft’s system builder team is committed to helping end customers and system builders who have been impacted by these tragic events as much as possible.

End customers of system builders:

· If customers are seeking documentation for their original sale of the PC with licensed software for insurance claims, they should first contact their system builder. Microsoft is willing to help with that by contacting the system builder on the end customer’s behalf if necessary. Requests should be sent to microsoftoem.systembuilder@csgopenline.com or by calling 1-800-325-1233.

· For customers requiring COA or media replacement only (normally replacement media is a chargeable item), requests should be sent to microsoftoem.systembuilder@csgopenline.com or by calling 1-800-235-1233. These will be approved for replacement at no charge on a case-by-case basis.

System Builders:

· If system builder are seeking documentation for their original sale of system builder multipacks for insurance claims, they should first contact their authorized distributor. Microsoft is willing to help with providing purchase reports from authorized distributors. Requests for reporting should be sent to microsoftoem.systembuilder@csgopenline.com or by calling 1-800-325-1233.

· For customers requiring COA or media replacement only because of special circumstances, requests should be sent to microsoftoem.systembuilder@csgopenline.com or by calling 1-800-325-1233. These will be approved for replacement at no charge on a case-by-case basis.
