FIX: Tables and views are displayed incorrectly in a Host Integration Server 2010 Entity Framework application

Symptoms

In Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010, tables and views are displayed incorrectly when you use a managed DB2 provider to create an Entity Framework application.

Cause

This issue occurs if the query that is created by the Entity Framework application is incorrect.

Resolution

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.
