"System Message 8026" error when you import data into the Budget Maintenance (PA.BSM.00) screen

This article provides a resolution for an issue in which you receive the System Message 8026 error message when you import data into the Budget Maintenance (PA.BSM.00) screen by using Transaction Import.

Symptoms

When you try to import data into the Budget Maintenance (PA.BSM.00) screen in Microsoft Solomon or in Microsoft Dynamics SL by using Transaction Import, you receive the following error message:

System Message 8026 - Insertion of new records on this level are not allowed

This problem occurs in Microsoft Dynamics SL and in Microsoft Business Solutions-Solomon.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, modify the data (.dta) file. Replace all instances of level2 with level2,Change.

The following is an example of a modified data (.dta) file:
