Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install SQL Server 2008 R2 on a server that belongs to a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based site.

  • You enable the Asset Intelligence feature and the Inventory feature by using the Configuration Manager Administrator console.

  • You install the Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 client on the server.

  • You run a Hardware Inventory action on the site and inspect the "License 01D" License Ledger report.

  • The License Ledger report reports that SQL Server 2008 R2 is installed on the server.

  • You install SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on the server.

  • You run a Hardware Inventory action on the site again and inspect the "License 01D" License Ledger report.

In this scenario, the License Ledger report no longer reports that SQL Server 2008 R2 is installed on the server.
