When you try to extract SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) (Sql2ksp1.exe), Service Pack 2 (SP2) (Sql2ksp2.exe), Service Pack 3 (Sql2ksp3.exe), Service Pack 3a (Sql2kasp3.exe) or some SQL Server 2000 downloads, if the free disk space on your computer is a multiple of 4-gigabytes (GB), you might receive the following error message:
There is not enough space on drive C:\ to extract this package. Please free up 109.41 MB and click Retry.
To work around this problem, add or delete files on your computer so that the free disk space is not a multiple of 4-gigabytes.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the tool used to package SQL Server service packs and downloads.
