Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You create a Kerberos keytab file by using the Ktpass.exe tool that is included with a 64-bit version of Windows Server 2008. When you run the Ktpass.exe tool, you use the pass option to set the password for the principal user name.

In this scenario, the password is not set as expected. Additionally, you do not receive an error message when this problem occurs.
