I am trying to recover my Windows Vista but one of my recovery disc #2 does not work...what can I do?

After sfc /scannow , it found some corrpted files in my windows that they could be fixed. can i use my recovery cd to repair them? if not how can i do it if i don't have windows installation disc?

Vista won't boot - System restore/Startup repair can't fix
Have Vista running on Dell Inspiron 1720. All of a sudden I can't start Windows. Startup Repair cant fix the problem and System restore can't seem to solve the problem either. Am starting to panic.
