Information Regarding Machine Translation

The primary audience for the Machine Translation Service is users who do not understand English.

Machine Translated articles are identified by the icon. Also, within the Machine Translated article itself, you will find a Click here to see the US source article (in English) link which takes you to the original US article.

If for any reason, you prefer to not see Machine Translated articles, you need to uncheck, in the search options, the Include Machine Translated Articles checkbox.

Machine Translated articles, for obvious reasons, have a much lower quality than articles professionally translated by humans; however, you will get more results by including Machine Translated articles as part of your search. Although the Machine Translation technology has improved greatly in the last years, it still produces linguistic and technical errors. However, the quality of the translation is often good enough to help you solve your problems.

In any case, as we mentioned before, if you so desire, you can exclude Machine Translated articles from your search results by unchecking the check box. If you do so, your search results will be limited to humanly translated articles, although the number of results will be greatly reduced since Microsoft is able to localize only a select and limited number of all the available articles.
