How can I take advantage of the free upgrade to New Office (Pre-Launch Offer)? If you purchase a qualifying Office edition and activate it within the promo period (19th October 2012 until 30th April 2013), you are eligible to upgrade to New Office.

If I redeem free upgrade to New Office, how many machines can I install the license on? If you choose to upgrade to Office 2013 (perpetual license), you may only install it onto 1 machine and it is non-transferrable.

For subscription license, you may install it onto multiple devices; Office 365 Home (5 PCs/MACs), Office 365 University (2 PCs/MACs).

Can I transfer New Office license to a different machine? This depends on the license type of New Office:

If you own perpetual license (Office 2013), the license will stay with the first machine it’s installed on.

On the other hand, subscription license (Office 365) may be transferred to another machine simply by uninstalling and re-installing from Office.com/My Account page.

When I try to redeem my Office 2013/365, I am asked for my MS email account. I entered my MS email account and is accepted but when I go to office.com/myaccount, there are no office products under my account. You need to make sure that the email address you are entering is correct. You can also look for the confirmation email from the email address that you provided.
