View Drop Down Menu in File Manager Has Non-Applicable Choices

SYMPTOMS

If you select the Tree Only option under the View menu in File Manager, the following options are available:

- Name
- All File Details
- Partial Details
- By File Type

However, the options listed above do not apply to the Tree Only option. These options only apply to the Tree and Directory and the Directory Only options.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT versions 3.1 and 3.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
