No Database Selected After Using Form Letter TaskWizard

SYMPTOMS

When you try to preview, or print a document, you receive the following error message:
There is no database associated with this document. Select a database, and then try again.
When you use any of the Letter TaskWizards, including Form Letter, Letter, Letterhead, or Proposal Letter, you find there is no database selected when you try to print, print preview, or add a field to the document. This occurs if you used the TaskWizard and selected these options:
I want to use addresses from a Works database.

-and-

I want to use my pre-printed letterhead stationery.

RESOLUTION

After you receive the error, the Use Database dialog will appear. You can select the appropriate database from the Select A Database list and click OK.

If you cancel the dialog box, you can associate a database with your document by doing the following:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Form Letters.
  2. Click the Database tab and click the database you selected in the TaskWizard.
  3. Click Close.
  4. Click OK.
