SUMMARY

Sometimes you may want to hide the text in a particular cell or set of cells without deleting the data or removing the columns in Microsoft Project.

MORE INFORMATION

To hide data without removing it in Microsoft Project 2010, use one of the following methods:

Method 1:

1.       Select the cell or cells that contain the data that you want to hide.

2.       Right-click on the cell or cells that contain the data that you want to hide, and click the Font Color drop-down arrow. In the drop-down list of colors, select the color white.

Method 2:

1.       Select the cell or cells that contain the data that you want to hide.

2.       On the Task tab, click the Font Color drop-down arrow. In the drop-down list of colors, select the color white.

The data still remains in the cell, but it will not be visible.

To hide data without removing it in Microsoft Project 2007 and earlier versions, use the following steps:
  1. Select the cell or cells that contain the data that you want to hide.
  2. On the Format menu, click Font.
  3. In the drop-down list of colors, select the color white, and then click OK.
The data still remains in the cell, but it will not be visible.

NOTE: You can format only approximately 7,500 cells at one time. Also, some printers may not support white fonts.
