PPT97: European Currency Symbol Doesn't Print with PCL Printer

SYMPTOMS

When you print a presentation that contains the European Currency Symbol to a PCL printer, the symbol is not printed. If you select the "Print True Type Fonts as Graphics" option on the Print tab (in the Printer Options dialog box), the presentation is not printed correctly or it takes a long time to print.

CAUSE

This is a problem with the Powerpnt.exe file.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, obtain Microsoft PowerPoint 97 Service Release 2 (SR- 2).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).
