TMGR: Actual Date Fields Store Only Date Data, Not Time

SUMMARY

The Actual Start and Actual Finish fields only store the date information, instead of both date and time, like the Start and Finish fields. This can result in confusion if the date columns are set to display the time in addition to the date because the actual start time defaults to 12 AM (or 00:00) and the end time defaults to 11:59 PM (or 23:59).

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft Team manager stores Actual Work for a time period. A time period is a whole day, and in this context, is a 24 hour period starting at midnight and ending the following midnight. The Actual Work is stored in hours as expected.

Additionally, when a task is completed, the schedule dates and times are set to the actual dates and times.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Team Manager 1.0 Standard Edition
