Resizing the Current Toolbars
To resize the toolbars in Internet Explorer, drag the bottom edge of the
toolbars up or down until the toolbars are the size you want. As you
resize a toolbar, you may notice that the location of the toolbar changes.
To return a toolbar to the original location, return the toolbar to the
original size.
Moving the Current Toolbars
To move a toolbar in Internet Explorer, click the left edge of the toolbar
and drag the toolbar to the location you want.
Adding and Removing Toolbars
To add or remove a toolbar in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
- On the View menu, click Toolbars.
- To add a toolbar, click to select the appropriate check box in the
Toolbar area, and then click OK. To remove a toolbar, click to clear the appropriate check box in the Toolbar area, and then click OK.
Available Toolbars and Toolbar Options
The following toolbars and toolbar options are available in Internet
Explorer. These options are located in the
Toolbar area when you click
Toolbars on the
View menu.
- Standard Buttons: Contains the Back, Forward, Stop, Refresh, Home, Search, Favorites, and Print buttons. This toolbar appears by default.
- Links: Contains links to commonly used Web sites, including the
Microsoft World Wide Web site and the Links, Services, and Tutorial
pages on the The Microsoft Network World Wide Web site. This
toolbar appears by default.
- Address bar: Displays the Internet address of the current Web page.
This toolbar appears by default.
- Text Labels: Displays the name of the buttons in each toolbar. This
option is enabled by default.
