MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft Internet Mail and News is a Simple Mail Transport Protocol/ Post Office Protocol (SMTP/POP3) mail client that enables you to work offline, sort and store mail any way you like, and view messages quickly in the preview pane. The news reader enables you to connect to multiple news servers, automatically decodes binary files, and supports the same preview pane and filtering offered by the mail client.

In addition, the English language release of Internet Mail and News for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 includes support for importing and exporting Eudora and Netscape mail messages and address book entries, has added security features, and also supports the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) standard for Internet directory services. Five of the world's largest white pages directory services have agreed to open their records to Internet Explorer. Finding people is as easy as going to your Address Book, clicking the Find button, and then entering a name.
