Installing the Alternative Mouse Pointer Schemes

  1. Download the Altpnt.exe file from the Microsoft Download Center to an empty folder.
  2. In My Computer, Windows Explorer, or Windows NT Explorer, double- click the Altpnt.exe file you downloaded in step 1.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Using the Alternative Mouse Pointer Schemes

To use the Microsoft Windows Alternative Mouse Pointers:
  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the Mouse icon.
  2. On the Pointers tab, click the scheme you want to use, and then click OK.

Removing the Alternative Mouse Pointer Schemes

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Alternative Pointer Set, and then click Uninstall.
