SYMPTOMS

When you display a custom dialog form (UserForm) that you create in Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Excel returns one of the following error messages:

In Microsoft Windows 95

EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in module EXCEL.EXE at 0137:30113441.

In Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0

EXCEL.exe
Exception: Access Violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x30113441

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you display a UserForm in a Microsoft Excel section in Microsoft Binder and you move cells or close the Microsoft Binder while the custom dialog is being displayed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Excel 2000.

MORE INFORMATION

|A UserForm that you create in Visual Basic for Applications in Microsoft Excel 97 is not modal when it is displayed in a Microsoft Office Binder. Therefore, cells on the worksheet, menu commands, and control menus are available while the UserForm is displayed. Some actions, such as moving cells or closing the Microsoft Binder with the control menu or ALT+F4, may cause Microsoft Excel to quit unexpectedly.
