Visual Basic 4.0 a introduit un nouvel objet Picture. L'objet Picture est en fait un type OLE standard et il est documenté dans le Kit de contrôle du développeur (CDK.)

Le CDK fournit la fonction OleCreatePictureIndirect que vous pouvez utiliser pour créer de nouveaux objets Picture à partir de Visual Basic 4.0. La routine CreateBitmapPicture de l'exemple appelle OleCreatePictureIndirect pour créer un objet Picture à partir d'un handle vers une image bitmap et à partir d'un handle vers une palette. Si l'objet Picture comprend une palette valide, Visual Basic saura l'utiliser lors de son rendu sur l'écran ou l'imprimante. La routine CreateBitmapPicture est utilisée par la routine CaptureWindow pour créer des objets Picture qui contiennent une image bitmap d'une partie ou de l'ensemble d'une fenêtre.

La routine CaptureWindow de l'exemple capture n'importe quelle partie d'une fenêtre à qui un handle de fenêtre a été fourni. La routine comprend plusieurs paramètres qui décrivent la partie exacte de la fenêtre à capturer. La fenêtre de capture fonctionne en copiant l'image sur l'écran d'une fenêtre vers une nouvelle image bitmap. Elle vérifie également que l'écran dispose d'une palette et dans ce cas, elle en fait une copie. CaptureWindow appelle ensuite CreateBitmapPicture pour créer une image bitmap à partir de l'image bitmap et de la palette qui viennent d'être créées.

Les routines CaptureForm, CaptureClient, CaptureScreen et CaptureActiveWindow fournies dans l'exemple utilisent toutes CaptureWindow pour capturer des fenêtres spécifiques. CaptureForm et CaptureClient appellent toutes les deux la fenêtre de capture et lui passe la propriété hWnd d'un objet Form. CaptureScreen obtient simplement le handle de la fenêtre du bureau et appelle CaptureWindow. De la même façon, CaptureActiveWindow obtient simplement le handle de fenêtre de la fenêtre active et appelle CaptureWindow.

Une fois que l'image souhaitée est capturée dans un objet Picture, il est facile d'imprimer dans Visual Basic 4.0 à l'aide de la méthode PaintPicture de l'objet Printer.   7. Enregistrez le projet.
  8. Avant d'exécuter ce projet, vérifiez dans Références de projet qu'une Référence à OLE Automation existe (StdOle2.tlb).
  9. Exécutez le projet et testez-le. Vous devez pouvoir capturer le formulaire, la zone cliente du formulaire, l'écran et la fenêtre active. Vous pourrez également tous les imprimer.
REMARQUE : une fois que vous avez capturé l'image que vous souhaitez dans un objet Picture, vous pouvez facilement la placer dans le presse-papiers à l'aide de la méthode SetData de l'objet Clipboard.
