This article describes how to identify the version of Internet Mail and News you are using.

To identify the version of Internet Mail and News you are using, click About Internet Mail And News on the Help menu in either Internet Mail or Internet News. The build number is listed in the About box. See the following list to identify which version you have by looking up the build number:

1155: The original version 1.0 of Internet Mail and News.
1160: An updated version that includes support for the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
1161: An updated version that includes all the enhancements in build 1160, plus additional security features.
1162: An updated version that includes all the enhancements in build 1160, plus support for importing Eudora and Netscape mail messages and address books.
