XL97: ValuPack Templates Not in Microsoft Excel 97 Format
This article was previously published under Q161792 SYMPTOMS
When you save a document based on any of the templates that are stored in
the Valupack\Template\Excel folder on the Microsoft Office 97 compact disc,
you may receive the following alert message:
'<Template Name>' was created in a previous version of Microsoft Excel. Where <Template Name> is the name of the template you are using.Do you want to update it to the new format? If you click Yes, the file is saved in the Microsoft Excel 97 file format. CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the templates in the Valupack\Template\Excel
folder on the Microsoft Office compact disc are not in the Microsoft Excel
97 file format; they are in the Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 file format.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, save the templates in the Microsoft Excel 97 file
format before you use them.
The following steps show you how to open the Loan.xlt file and save it in Microsoft Excel 97 format.
