SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to insert clipart from a program such as Microsoft WordPad or Microsoft Word 97, clipart is not available.

CAUSE

Clipart may not be available for either of the following reasons:

Microsoft Office 97 was installed with the Run From CD option and the Office 97 compact disc is not in the CD-ROM drive.

-or-

Microsoft Office 97 was installed with the Custom installation option and the Popular Art option was not selected.

RESOLUTION

Place the Office 97 compact disc in the CD-ROM drive before you attempt to insert clipart.

STATUS

This is by design of Microsoft Office 97.

MORE INFORMATION

If you installed Microsoft Office 97 and used the Run from CD option, clipart is only available when the compact disc is in the CD-ROM drive. If you attempt to insert clipart into a program such as Microsoft WordPad, you will not be prompted to insert the Office 97 compact disc and no clipart will be available.

If Microsoft Office 97 was installed with the Custom option and Popular Art was not selected, you will be prompted to insert the Office 97 compact disc when you attempt to insert clipart in an Office 97 program.
