E-mail messages created in Outlook 97 using WordMail as your e-mail editor, may not word wrap when opened in some non-Outlook e-mail editors; instead, each paragraph may display as one long line.

To correct this behavior, set the recipient e-mail editor to "Wrap Long Lines" and set WordMail to "Wrap to Window" as follows:
  1. To set the recipient e-mail editor to "Wrap Long Lines" refer the its Help files.
  2. To use "Wrap to window" feature in WordMail, do the following:
    1. In Outlook, open a new mail message using WordMail.
    2. With the insertion point in the message window on the Tools menu, click Options.
    3. On the View tab, click to select "Wrap to window" and click OK.
    4. Close the message without saving or continue to compose and send a message.

Internet Mail Enhancement Patch

Microsoft provides a patch to the Internet Mail service, which allows you to specify the number of characters per line when sending messages. This feature allows you to control the line wrap when sending messages to Internet Mail clients that do not support line wrapping.
