OL97: Some Outlook Fields Are Offset by One Character

SYMPTOMS

After upgrading to Outlook 97, version 8.01, some fields appear to be offset by one character. This anomaly shows up in such fields as the Contacts "File As" field and the Appointment "Location" field. It is only visual and has no effect on program operation (sorting, grouping, etc.).

CAUSE

This problem seems to be related to some video modes and resolutions.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 97 version 8.01 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Outlook 97 version 8.02 for Windows.
