Menus in Word Viewer Do Not Respond on First Click

In Microsoft Word Viewer 97-2000, menus may not respond on the first click.

This problem occurs if Word Viewer is busy processing another command--for example, a command that changes a view setting.

This problem is fixed in the Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003.

You can use the Microsoft Word 97-2000 Viewer to view documents that were created in Microsoft Word 97, in Microsoft Word 2000, in Microsoft Word 2002, and in Microsoft Office Word 2003.
