SYMPTOMS

The Lunar New Year holiday is a Chinese holiday and not a Japanese holiday, as listed in the Microsoft Outlook 97 holiday file (Outlook.txt). If you add Japanese holidays to your Outlook Calendar, the Calendar incorrectly includes the Lunar New Year. If you add Chinese holidays to your Outlook Calendar, the Calendar incorrectly excludes the Lunar New Year.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 97 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Outlook 97 version 8.02 for Windows.
