Cannot See Automatic Greeting Entering Chat Room

When you enter a chat room using Microsoft Chat, you may not receive an automatic greeting from the host.

This behavior can occur if you enter and leave a chat room several times and the automatic greeting is whispered.

In Microsoft Chat, the host of a chat room can enable an automatic greeting that whispers or says a greeting to everyone who enters the chat room. If the greeting is whispered, only the person entering the chat room sees it. If it is said, everyone in the chat room sees it. Occasionally, if the host's automatic greeting is whispered, you may not see the greeting when you enter the chat room.
