When you use the Microsoft Office Setup program to add or remove a
Microsoft Excel add-in, any custom toolbars that you created may be
deleted.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if you use Office Setup to add or remove any
of the following add-ins:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in
Microsoft Office for Windows, Service Release 1.

click the Office Assistant, type uninstall click Search, and then click
to view "Install or remove individual components of Microsoft Office or
Microsoft Excel."
