When you try to edit a Web page using FrontPage Express, you may receive
the following error message:
Unable to open the location <Web address>.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because FrontPage Express cannot edit a Web page using
a modem connection to the Internet.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, you must edit the Web page while offline
after it is saved in the Temporary Internet Files folder. To do so, use
one of the following methods:
Method 1Edit the Web page using Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
Method 2Edit the Web Page using FrontPage Express. To do so, follow these steps:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FrontPage Express. We are
researching this problem and will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATION
This problem does not occur when use FrontPage 97 or Word 97 as your
Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) editor.
