When you attempt to view a Web page, you may receive an error message similar to the following message:
Not accepting cookies
CAUSE
This behavior can occur for any of the following reasons:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method.
Method 1Enable the option to accept cookies in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
Method 2Rename the cookie file in the Windows\Cookies folder for the Web page from which you received the "Not accepting cookies" error message. To rename the cookie file, follow these steps:
Method 3Change the cookies option to try to update the registry correctly. In Internet Explorer 4.x, changes to cookies options on the Advanced tab in the Internet Options dialog box are written to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\AllowCookies
The AllowCookies value does not exist in the registry until you change
the cookies usage option on the Advanced tab in the Internet Options dialog box. In addition, when you remove Internet Explorer 4.0, the setting in the registry may not be changed back to the original setting.
