OL97: Rules Wizard Installation with /Q Option Displays Dialog

SYMPTOMS

When installing the Rules Wizard add-in for Microsoft Outlook 97 with the /Q switch, the following information is displayed after installation completes:

The Rules Wizard files have been installed successfully. Please restart Outlook to complete the installation. Select Rules Wizard under the Tools Menu to run this extension.

Dismissing the dialog requires user intervention, which defeats the purpose of the /Q switch. The /Q switch allows for a quiet or unattended installation of the Rules Wizard.

STATUS

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).
